Synthetic Chemistry

Synthetic Chemistry

Syngene offers a vast range of synthetic chemistry services through an experienced team of scientists equipped with the latest technology and infrastructure. Our experts devise the most effective route for the synthesis of novel/complex compounds, having delivered value-added results for various drug discovery projects. Our focus is on delivering process-friendly, cost-effective, and timely solutions to meet the needs of clients.

Capabilities

Our Synthetic Chemistry team brings a deep knowledge of asymmetric transformation methods and organometallic chemistry to accelerate the discovery of active compounds for drugs. The team has diverse synthetic experience ranging across building blocks and reference compounds, scaffold analoging, focused library, heterocyclic chemistry, stereoselective synthesis, natural product synthesis, impurities & metabolite synthesis, route scouting and early PRD.

Asymmetric synthesis

Our chemists and scientists are proficient in various methodologies used for synthesizing compounds and separating enantiomers with the required therapeutic activity from a racemic compound. Asymmetric catalysis, chiral auxiliary and organo-catalysis are some of the asymmetric transformation methods that we use to explore new molecules.

Organometallic chemistry

Our teams expertly manage transition metal-catalysis processes for forming carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds, enabled by labs that are equipped to handle air and moisture sensitive catalytic and stoichiometric reactions.

The team leverages its collective experience in creating transition metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions (including Suzuki, Negishi, Kumada, and Stille couplings) to synthesize molecules. Our scientists also have extensive experience working with carbon-hetero bond-forming reactions, metathesis reactions, and carbon-hydrogen bond activation reactions, among others.

Our chemistry services also extend to compounds like natural product analogs, peptides, nucleosides, and carbohydrates, as well as to the design and synthesis of focused libraries.

Chemical Reaction Screening facility

Our Discovery Chemistry services also offer in-house dedicated chemical reaction screening facility that enables rapid Go/No-Go decisions. To know more about the facility, click here
